I offer psychological therapy for young people, adults and parents who are experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, low mood, overwhelm or difficulties with self-worth and relationships.
THERAPY
People often come to therapy feeling
Anxious, stuck or emotionally exhausted
Overwhelmed by thoughts or feelings
Disconnected from themselves or others
Unsure how to cope with what’s happening in their life
how i can support
1:1 TherapyI work integratively, meaning I draw on different psychological approaches rather than relying on one model or diagnosis. Therapy with me focuses on understanding what’s happening beneath the surface, calming the nervous system and supporting change at a pace that feels manageable.
My therapeutic approach is:
Trauma-informed and compassionate
Collaborative rather than directive
Focused on understanding rather than fixing
Grounded in emotional safety and regulation
Therapy is available for both short-term support and longer-term work, depending on your needs.
CALM, CLARITY CONSULTATION HOURI offer one-off or short-term consultation sessions for individuals, parents and professionals who want clarity, perspective or psychological input on a specific issue. These sessions are more strategy-focused than ongoing therapy and are ideal if you:
Feel stuck and want a professional sense-check
Are facing a decision and need clarity
Consultation sessions are contained, purposeful and supportive. They are not crisis sessions and do not replace therapy, but they can be a helpful first step or a stand-alone space to think clearly.

I recommend that we meet weekly, certainly initially as this is a good way to build a therapeutic relationship.
People may decide to move to fortnightly or monthly sessions as the treatment progresses.

If you are unsure, this is very common. You are welcome to get in touch with a brief outline of what you are looking for, and guidance can be offered on the most appropriate next step.

I offer both short (6-12 weeks) and longer term interventions. The length of time someone receives treatment for ultimately depends on how long it takes for them to feel that they have achieved their goals. At our initial consultation we can discuss what you would like to get from the therapeutic work and I will be able to make some suggestions about whether it sounds like a longer term intervention might be needed or whether we can create amore brief focussed plan.
Ultimately though the decision will be yours. There is no obligation to engage in long term treatment and we will have regular reviews to ensure that you are not receiving therapy for longer than you need.

Finding the right psychological support matters. If I am not the best fit for your needs, I will aim to suggest appropriate alternatives where possible.
